4. How to import mango from Vietnam?
In general, the quality of Vietnamese mangoes is quite good, and the taste is easy to eat, but the disadvantage is that the skin is thin and the production quality is not uniform. Because of these characteristics, preserving fresh mangoes is often quite tricky, and it is easy to reduce the rate when exporting far away.
Therefore, if you want to import Vietnamese mango, you need to make sure mangoes meet the following criteria:
+ Irradiation treatment: Fresh mangoes must irradiate with a minimum dose of 400 Gy (the inspection agency must approve the irradiation facility of Vietnam).
+ Phytosanitary: This is a prerequisite in global trade to ensure products are free from certain insect pests.
+ Exported mangoes harvest from common growing areas: This is a vital "document" of goods, which trace when needed.
+ Must check product quality and pesticide content: Ensure the pesticide content in mango fruit is within the allowable threshold.
+ How to pack goods in boxes/packaging: Mangoes must be loaded into containers/packaging properly to ensure that the goods are still intact when exported abroad and undamaged during transportation.
